I describe this is 1 word...HORRIBLE! I get a call on my work line from someone who wants to serve me with court papers, he tells me I'm being sued. He told me he tried to serve me at home 2 weeks ago and he was coming back tomorrow so he wanted to know what time I would be home. He was going to my deceased grandmothers address which I never even put on my credit card application (by the way I was being sued fro a credit card) I told him I wouldn't be home he tells me to call a number and arrange a time to get served. I call the number 888 280-7216 these people always answer the phone but NEVER say the name of the company. I give the number the server gave me and I get this guy who wants to act like he is my friend named Richard Pedroza. He tells me I am being sued for over $3,000 on a card that only had a $400 limit. But I can settle everything for over $1,500. He tells me they are going to come to my job the next day and serve me, and garnish my check by 30% and take all of my money out of my bank account etc. So I set up a payment arrangement. It has to be done in 3 payments. They don't take checks, only debit cards. I give him the information, people tell me it sounds like a scam. I goggled the people , I tracked down how these people got this information. Apparently collection agency's selling accounts to one another. This guy Rich tells me the card is being declined for INSF. Pure BS because the money is in the account. I call the bank, they have no transaction of anyone trying to get this money and they would not decline it because I have debit protection. Finally he decided he wants me to send it via Monogram and gives me a business name of AMC with a receiver number of 7286. I don't see AMC on the site, I call moneygram and speak to a live person who says the business is not in their system and that code comes back to a company called GRS. So of course I'm like this is all a scam. and I called the FTC and filed a complaint with the attorney generals office. At this point I'm ready to tell him let them sue me and I will fight it out in court. By the way he also said if I didn't make my payments they would tack on another $3,000. And they claim they cant send proof of debt because it is sealed.
