TTI Appliances at 11100 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 560 in LA has completely destroyed my faith in the Hamilton Beach / Proctor Silex brand. I purchased a Hamilton Beach water dispenser and within a few months it stopped working. Because it was after the 90 day return window for Target, I called Hamilton Beach and was directed to TTI Appliances and was told that they are the company that processes the refunds. I originally contacted them via e-mail on June 18th, 2008 with the description of the problem. I was e-mailed back a reference number and told that if I could not find the receipt, that the most they could refund was $50. I told them I would find the receipt and send it in for a full refund ($74.54). I contact Ruth Moreno, who assigned the reference number and was told what to send to process the refund (the end of the cord, the silver sticker off the back, the original receipt and a description of the problem). I sent all this to the above address, which Ruth provided on 7/18/08. I have been getting the run around ever since. I just got off the phone with the Office Manager and was told that my $50 check would be mailed today. When I asked why the refund wasn't the entire amount, I was told that I agreed, and they have documented, to the $50.00. I probably would have accpeted this four months ago, but at this point, they, along with Hamilton Beach, have lost all credibility. I was told by the Office Manager that I could take the $50 and they would close the issue or I could tell them to not mail the check and that would be it. I have asked to speak with the Office Manager's supervisor and told her that I would call each and every day until this was resolved. Because TTI Appliances manufactures the water coolers and they are distributed under Hamilton Beach and Proctor Silex, I will not be purchasing either brand in the future. One last thing - the Office Manager told me that she put her faith in her employees and did not believe that I agreed to anything other than the $50 refund, which is completely not true. If I could rate this business with less than one star, I would.
