Horrible Experience

Terrible experience beginning to end. When coming to pick up my furniture on 5/29 they completely disregarded the price we had agreed to over the phone, and wanted to charge over 30% more. None of my furniture is large, and to be off by that much shows me they are intentionally underestimating the cost. I emailed in two separate times to get clarification around why the estimate was off by such a large margin and never got a response. As soon as they take your money they have zero interest in talking to you ever again. From there things got worse, I had been promised over the phone that delivery by 6/11 would not be a problem at all. I told them how important this was because I was going to be traveling out of state on the 12th. Then when the movers came, I also signed a contract with an agreed delivery date of 6/11. However, when I hadn't heard anything by 6/10 I called in and was told it would be another 4 days. I ultimately had to ask a co-worker to stay at my place to receive the furniture which didn't come until 6/14. The headache continued from there. On delivery the contract with them clearly states the first 100 feet of carry are free, $75 for every 75 additional feet. The man delivering the furniture "measured" out the walk to my door by counting strides and called it 200 feet, and said it would be $200. Despite showing him the contract he refused to move the furniture in without receiving the $200 in cash. After paying him, he dropped off all of the furniture in horrible condition. All of the boxes were crushed, my desk was splintered at the sides, and there are scratches and paint spots on almost every piece. I should also mention they only accept cash on delivery, I'm assuming because they know everyone would attempt to cancel a check or credit card charge after the horrible service and jumps in fees. Just save yourself the trouble and choose a different moving company.
