My recent experience with this management company has left me disgusted with the way this company has conducted business with me. I clearly asked the manager of the Atlantic Pacific Apartments in Fullerton, CA. what would happen if I broke the six month lease I was thinking about signing, and she (Tammy)told me with no hesitation or doubt in her voice that I would only have to pay back the $400.00 deposit bonus given to me by Schroeder Mgmt. Then a month and half into my six month lease, after the police were called out to the unit next door to me regarding ugly domestic disputes I decide to put in my 30 day notice. Again I clearly asked the manager what is going to happen if I do this and am I going to be held liable for the remainder of the lease if no one else moves into the unit I am renting now. She agian told me I would only have to pay back the $400.00. Then a week after I put in my notice and put a depsoit down on anotoher place she called me and told me her supervisor said I would be held liable for the remainder of the lease. She told me she did not know that she usually only deals with month to month rentals and doesn't have experience with leases. I am now being held liable for the remainder of the lease. This I feel is a complete bait and switch tactic that was used by the manager in order to feel a vacancy, and after confronting her and the her supervisor Angela about it I was treated with disrespect and no apology for the manager's mistake was ever given. What if anything can be done about this and I would recommend to anyone thinking of doing business with Schroeder Mgmt. to not do it due to their undethical business practices.
