AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
|
We hired Debbie Goldstein of Savvy College Funding Solutions to guide our daughter through the process of finding the right college fit, applying to colleges, and navigating the financial aid process. We started about a year and a half before the applications needed to be submitted to give us plenty of time to prepare. The first year was relatively slow, as we met with her on occassion, and filled out online questionnaires. When it came time to begin the application process, Debbie informed us that she wasn't able to help us, as my daughter had already narrowed her college choices (with little help/guidance from Debbie). However, there was much still to be done. So, I asked Debbie if we could meet and discuss next steps...which she reluctantly did, but only after charging me $100 for a 30 minute zoom call. I spent the first half of the meeting trying to nicely deal with her poor attitude. In the end, she said that she would continue to help us with the application process and the financial aid application. Needless to say, she ghosted us after that and never contacted us or returned any phone calls or emails. We STRONGLY suggest that you look for help elsewhere, as Debbie does not provide any help whatsoever.
