The owner, Steve Reynolds, is very professional, very competent, very smart and thoughtful. I had a great experience with him and the roof job was done exceptionally well (Nov, 2007.) My in-laws and a few neighbors had used Steve before I met him and they all recommended Steve enthusiastically to me.
Steve cares a great deal about his reputation and the quality of his work and pays attention to detail. For example, I bought a composition shingle that has color variation (Landmark TL "Country Gray"). I found out after the job was complete that Steve used three different colors for the ridge-cap, to make the job "look right". It turns out that the manufacturer routinely ships a ridge cap that is monochrome and in Steve's experience, the monochrome ridge cap just doesn't look right with the shingles that have a variety of colors, so instead he picks three different color ridge caps that complement the shingle pattern. I thought this was an exceptional example of how Steve goes out of his way to make sure that the roofing job will be one that he can be proud of.
