I had a terrible experience with Pep Boys on Reseda Blvd this past Saturday. I had them put new struts on my car as well as align my car. They were having a deal, but I was a day late & Terrence did not tell me that the deal was going to expire in a day or so, so the Assistant Manager, William, honored it anyway (otherwise he knew I would take my business elsewhere that day). I have several problems that followed my bringing my car into them. Please see the following list of problems:
1.) They did not give me the old parts to my car & told me that they already disposed of them when I only brought my car in that morning. How convenient to tell me that since I told the Assistant Manager, William, I need to see the parts to know that they actually did the work! Now, I do not even know if they put new struts in my car since my car does not ride any different than it did before.
2.) They "forgot" to align my car & did not tell me when I paid for my car. (Big mistake! Why did they not tell me that they did not tell me unless they thought I was stupid & would not notice...Yeah, right, Pep Boys!)
3.) Terrence lied to me again on the phone by telling me that they did the alignment & that my front tires were bad & then proceeded to sell me 4 brand new tires (since they were having a special, I might add..lol?...yeah, right) when my tires were already brand new & that there was only a little bit of wear on the front tires. Not enough to actually have to replace my tires(b.s. & lies & they flat out insulted my intelligence as a Woman!)
4.) My husgand & I had to take more time out of our busy schedule last night to go back to Pep Boys again and wait for an hour and a half, just to have them actually do the alignment that should have been done the Saturday before. (I spoke to Assistant Manager, William on the phone again to make sure that they were going to be doing it for free since they did not actually do the alignment when they should have from the beginning) They also had the audacity to tell me that they had to rotate the front tires to the back (which is what they should have done from the beginning, that is, if you know anything about cars like Pep Boys claims to be an expert). Any person who knows even a little bit about cars knows that before you do any kind of alignment, you need to make sure the best tires are in the front...Duh, Pep Boys...And you guys say that you are the best...My a@@!
5.) I am a first time customer and a last time customer. I would NEVER go back to Pep Boys again! They SO DID NOT do right by me when they insulted my intelligence like that. Anybody who knows even a little bit about cars like I do would definitely feel insulted. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE(S). THEY ARE THE PITS!
