I'm pretty happy with Pacific Pest Control. Those guys were fantastic! I have to say, I called them thinking it was a different company. I had some rats in the attic that I couldn't get rid of, and I was actually responding to another company's radio ad, but when I went online to get the number I got Pacific Pest Control's number instead. But anyway, the salesman who called me was very nice, and I was confident they could take care of the problem.
They came over and looked at the situation, took some measurements, and even removed a dead rat from a trap, even though they were just there to tour the place and I hadn't actually employed them yet. They gave me a price, then came over in a few days to get started. They started on time, and they had a really nice crew. I've dealt with some other people where the crews were a little rougher, but these guys were really nice, and they cleaned everything up. They did cause a hole in the ceiling, but they had a drywall guy there that same day and he repaired it. He did it properly too, cut it out and put a new piece in, then the guy returned the next day and textured it, so I was really happy, I guess.
Pacific Pest Control completely cleaned it up and put in new insulation that is supposed to be pest free. I went up there and it looked good, and it smelled much better. I did smell a dead rat two days later, so maybe one got in. I have a feeling one escaped, as I have a very difficult attic with lots of nooks and crannies. Pacific Pest Control was the first company I used that was actually able to find some entry points. Most companies usually just put traps down, then say that because I have a Spanish tile roof there is nothing else they can do. Pacific Pest Control found 3 entry points. I'm hoping that with the closing of those entry points, the pest elimination insulation, and a half-dozen bait stations around the yard they can solve the problem. I'm confident they can, and I'm actually having them do some termite work for me in another location within the next couple of days.
