I purchased NovaBackup in about June 2010 for $50. On the receipt it says that if you have any problems, just contact customer support. I have a DVD burner on my computer. It reads and writes without any problem. I use it for saving music, videos, documents, etc. NovaBackup could not find my DVD drive and wanted me to sign up for online service at additional charge. I checked the NovaStor forums and found an issue like mine but it was not for NovaBackup -- it was for a server and it didn't apply when I read it. As instructed on the invoice, I contacted the company. The person I spoke with asked me many questions and I was on the phone for about half an hour. Then he told me if I wanted him to help me, I would have to pay an additional $30 for support. Excuse me! I just bought it and have not been able to use it because it is not finding my drive. He says he can't help me if I don't buy support. I'm retired on Social Security, so have very little money. It was hard enough to pay the $50 to buy their product and then they wanted an extra $30 just so I could use it? That is ridiculous. I filed a report and hope that BBB can get my money back. I will certainly not do business with this firm again.
