As far we are concern this company is a fraud. On March 23, 2009 an agent in the name of Frank Consoli of NIC contacted and he was very convincing that NIC has a 100% success rate on mortgage modification done at a lower rates of 5% or lower and 100% money guarantee. My wife and I agreed to give NIC $2,500 in advance to get our high rate mortgage lowered. Per Mr Consoli it will take 6 - 8 weeks to complete the process. We were also advised not to do anything and don't attempt to make any payment to our mortgage company. Mr Consoli also informed us that we will received documentation during the loan modification process. Months passed by no phone calls and no documentation of the loan modification process from Mr Consoli (NIC). We did however received a call from a Jeff asking as for a new pay stubs. We were told that our mortgage loan company is almost ready to make a final decision. On October 2009, my wife and I received a hand delivered summoned letter from court foreclosing our property. We then contacted NIC of the situation we were told this is a normal process and that everything is in works and modification will come soon. Tonight, November 17,2009 we received an email from Sr. Processor asking us for another copy of pay stubs and to attend the court date (why now it's too late)? A Tom also called us and informed us that he had a discussion with our mortgage company this afternoon. To check accuracy we contacted our mortgage company and we were informed that they have spoken to a Tom or any employees of NIC.
We want our money back as promised. NIC did not provide the service they promised and they did not assist us in anyways. This company should be investigated by the California Attorney General.
