TOTAL SCAM! Manager Steve Lubarsky says "So Sue Us" when they steal your money...
I know a TON of members who feel ripped off and taken complete advantage of. I never even signed a contract with this gym - they bought the gym I belonged to, then shut it down without notifying any of the members (when I went to work out, the gym was closed for good), and when I called the corporate office to get my dues back, no one would return my calls. I finally got a hold of the manager STEVE LUBARSKY on his cell phone, and he said "So sue us" if you want your dues back. Literally - they steal your money and figure it would cost too much to take them to court.
I also had major billing issues the three months they were actually operating my gym before they shut it down. They charged more than they were authorized to on my account - try $300 instead of $85 - and caused havoc with my checking account.
My friends at the gym had similar over-billing problems. DO NOT give these people your bank info - you will regret it.
This is a seriously shady operation. I have belonged to a gym my entire adult life, and any gym that FORCES membership via shady billing and contracts is not worth even considering. Any good gym with a good reputation doesn't need to practice business this way to stay in business or keep members.
