I purchased a 26 foot toy hauler from the location at a rv show. The trailer had to be built and they told me it would be 6 weeks to delivery. At 7 weeks I called to get an update(because I had not herd from them), they told me that it was not complete yet and that they would get on the manufacture(forest river). After 8 weeks I called again, they told me that it would be another week. After I complained and asked for the manufacturer's information so I could call them, they told me that they would call the rep. I get a call back later saying that they had forgotten to "floor"(which I think means finance) the trailer and it was going to be another week before they could "floor" it then another 3-5 days for them to get trailer ready for delivery. In the mean time I ask the salesman what I need to get trailer home because this was my first larger trailer. He told me the hitch size and recommended a weight distributing hitch with sway bars. When I am finally able to pick up trailer I drive 2 hours away to center and then the manager came out and tells me I was going to need too buy a weight distributing hitch from them and it was going to be $1500.00. I had researched the hitches and found some from $300-$700. I told the manager that I specifically asked the sales man what I needed the sales managers response was "he is a motor guy he doesn't deal with tow behinds often". I told the manager that $1500.00 was two to three times more expensive then camping world and that I had planned on buying the hitch from that location. The manager told me "go buy it from them then, if you want to take the trailer today you have to buy it from us". I was furious at this point and called my wife and in laws who were inside doing the paper work on the trailer and told them I was not buying a trailer from them. The finance guy was real nice and explained everything and set up a delivery. I would have walked out but we would have lost our $8,000.00 deposit. While at the location we had to call our insurance company to have them fax over proof of insurance before they would let us sign for the trailer so we did that. 3 months later I get a letter from McMahon's stating that I was going to be charged $1,000.00 for insurance because they did not have my proof of insurance on file. (I pay $300.00 a year for insurance). Will never do business with them again, and tell everyone at the camp grounds of my trouble and experience.
