My experience at Marinello wasn't anything different from what I read. You are paying for a cracker jack education. The freshman teacher was the only thing good about that place. Below is a copy of the email sent to corp office about the conditions of the school. As a response, I was told to deal with it or drop out... nobody cares. Others are lined up so we can take their money:
Dear marinello,
First of all, the condition. The place is filthy. It was been dirty since we have been there.
Two, the plumbing in the building is a BIG issue. The sinks do not drain. The water changes from warm to hot, which burns the clients. The toilet in the women's bathroom has been broken for 3 weeks, with a sign on it. Not only is there only one toilet, the bathroom is disgusting. There are no seat covers, ever and if you ask someone to get it for you, the do not. There is a small box on the floor for sanitary napkins. I do not know about you, but it is very unpleasant to go to the bathroom and see a bunch of bloody uncovered pads sitting out in plain view. I can only imagine what the clients must think.
Third, why do we lack products that we need to learn? Why is the conditioner secured under lock and key? Why do we have to prove to the teacher that our clients are worthy of conditioner? This is really ridiculous. We pay $18000+ for an education and we expect to get what we pay for.
Fourth, did you know our front window was shot out over a week ago? It is boarded up and still remains that way. I know the area is not the best and you expect us to live in those conditions, but a lot of us do not live near this area. I travel 12 miles each way to come here and learn. Our safety is an issue. The cars in the lot get broken into. You can't park in the front because it's costly. So what choices do we have?
The jr teacher is a very negative presence at this campus. I think it's very unprofessional that a teacher is close and personal with students of her liking. For others that do not make the list, they get told to shut up in front of clients and told you aren't listening, give me that.
Where in the manual is the policy that we cannot talk to each other? We were told that the jr teacher doesn't want the freshman talking to her juniors and seniors. This has created a big wall of tension. If this is going to be what I have to look forward to as a junior and senior, I will look into transferring elsewhere. We want a teacher that is willing to teach us.

Don't waste your time with this place. They don't care about you, they care about money. PS... there is no option for no stars in rating the school.
