Beware, Liberty Law Firm is most definitely a scam!
Loan modifications should be done for free by a HUD Counselor.
Liberty Law told me to show up with cash or a cashiers check for $1000 and then told me that I need a forensic audit after looking at my paper work, which costs another $1000. They said this in spite of the fact that it is illegal to collect funds for a loan modification.
They will not call the phone number that is on your mortgage statement. Instead they call their own phoney "Loss Mitigation" phone number for your bank. When I asked them for proof that they helped anyone with a loan mod, they said that the web site was under construction. Liberty Law "counselors" are salespeople who are selling a scam. My counselor was a scammer who called herself Heidi Ayala. I cannot believe that they are allowed to be in business! Where is our government?
Liberty Law are not listed with the California Bar Association as a law firm and when I quizzed them they said that the attorney for the firm is named Brian Calabana, which is a lie. When I asked to talk to Brian they said that he was not there.
I heard about this on AM readio and I know that they advertise on the WAVe and many others. If you hear an ad for them you should immediately call the radio station and file a complaint. The radio stations are screwing people by running these fraudulent ads. I may sue the radio station in small claims court.
