Laser & Dermatology Institute of California and Dr. Jacob Rispler advertises heavily on their website and through numerous Southern California raido stations and encourages people to call in for a free consultation. I made an appointment to receive a consultation on laser treatments for sun damages on my face (brown spots, etc.). I was expecting to meet with Dr. Rispler. However, when I went for my appointment, I was met by a sales person who talked with me for less than five minutes in a dimmed lighted consultation room. He examined my face for about 2 seconds and recommended a series of treatments for about $10,000 but if I were to sign up now that he would reduce the fees to $8,000. When I started asking questions wanting to know more detail about the treatments, the sales person became unexpectedly and extremely rude; all he was interested in was whether I wanted to sign up for the treatments or not. He also condescendingly advised me to research on my own time on the questions I had. I didn't get to see Dr. Rispler although they told me he was on the premise and ready to provide treatements if I wanted. The selling practices of this business is inappropriate.
