I purchased a kit for my 1999 Olds Alero from these idiots. I took it to a body shop to have it painted and installed. It was a friend doing the painting, so he mocked it up to the car and it seemed that with a little modification it would fit, so I told him to go ahead and paint it since I was moving away from California and I would have it modified and installed at my new home.
Took the kit to another body shop, who first told me there was NO WAY it would fit. Then, they told me they could make major modifications if I really wanted, and it would take a month and cost me $1800. Forget that!
I immediately called KGS who asked me for pics of the bad fitment, which I provided. They told me to make some modifications, and that would fix the problem. I made the modifications and it still didn't fit. Now, they refuse to take the kit back because it had been modified.
THEY TOLD ME TO MODIFY IT!
Were they going to sell the kit to another Alero owner if it WASN'T modified?! It doesn't fit the car!
AVOID KGS! They go by several names on ebay, including Thebodykitcity and hybridautoparts. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
I will be launching a web campaign against this company and possibly be filing a class-action lawsuit. I will post here if it comes to that.
