Review 3/4/2011
|
This is my second bad experience with US based businesses. Guys, what is happening?
On Feb- 22- 2011, I ordered Philips HID Conversion Kit. The shipment arrived on Mar- 4-2011. This was reasonably quick, but after I have opened the package:
1. There was no wrapping around the item to protect the content from accidental damage (the item was packed inside twice as big box).
2. The box was with the AGT logo, not Philips (later, inside the package, I found the “Important Notice” from the HID Xenon Lights LLC Shipping Department, dated Jan-31/2011, stating that due to packaging issues the Philips kit was not in its original box. Furthermore, if I want the kit to be originally packed I need to wait till Feb-10-2010. Was this a typo, or someone just routinely included the note with the shipment? Anyway my HIDs were shipped out on Feb-23-2011, thirteen days after the indicated waiting time).
3. The parts were not genuine Philips, contrary to their description on the supplier’s webpage.
4. I've visited the supplier’s website again and have noticed that the photographs there changed since my order, and are now showing what I have received. The product is still, however, described as Genuine Philips.
What is very interesting, the same kit one can buy approximately $100 cheaper from other merchants. The kits are properly advertised as Philips Patent kits and their performance is at 60% of the one manufactured by Philips.
Update:
On April-4-2011 I've received full refund through PayPal.
