Gregory Gonzalez is unprofessional, unorganized and misinformed when it comes to conducting business - take your legal matters elsewhere. According to the Palm Beach County Clerk's Office, Ricardo Alfaras filed for divorce on Friday, June 14th, 2013, utilizing Mr. Gregory Gonzalez as his attorney in the case. According to the case docket provided by the courthouse, all of the official paperwork had been completed and filed over the course of the past six months. As per the website, the case was assigned to Judge McCarthy at South County Courthouse. Although this case involved the respondent to the divorce being in another country, Gregory Gonzalez chose to file using means of publication and proceeded to provided proof this to the court (which is evident on the docket). The necessary time elapsed and the court entered a default against the respondent, meaning the case could proceed without her and was one step closer to being finalized (or so we believed). Recently, Mr. Alfaras was contacted by Gregory Gonzalez's paralegal to state that a court date had been established for December 11th, 2013 at South County Courthouse with the original judge assigned to the case at 8:15a.m. Upon the date arriving (this morning), the court was contacted at noon to confirm that the case had been handled (due to Gregory Gonzalez's prior history of lack of communication with the parties involved). South County Courthouse informed us that not only did Gregory Gonzalez fail to appear this morning, but that they hadn't heard from him or his practice since October 4th, 2013 and when confronted about this issue, Gregory Gonzalez proceeded to inform us that they had appeared and the judge told them that the paperwork was not filed... when it clearly states on the docket that a default had been entered and the paperwork was correct. Gregory Gonzalez is unprofessional, unorganized and misinformed when it comes to conducting business. This isn't how you run a business, especially a law firm and I will do my best to make sure that the public is made aware of this issue with this practice. I am very disturbed that there are attorneys out there who are allowed to continue to practice like this. I think you need to work on not only your customer service skills, but also on the information you are providing to your customers - we caught you in a downright lie and you continued to try and lie your way out of the situation. We are not looking for drama, we just want this issue resolved and considering the divorce was originally filed at the beginning of June, our patience is running thin with you - it's been over six months and this is a fairly simple case... why has it not been handled yet?
