From the outside this facility looks wonderful, but once you enter the building it reflects most nursing homes. Understaffed, inexperienced and non-friendly workers are what you'll find here. There is only one real nurse on staff, the rest are nursing assistants that could care less about the person they are attending. The showering areas were grossly under cleaned and I had to complain when the nursing assistant wanted to place my mother on a feces infected bathing chair blaming the staff for not sanitizing them. There are doctors on staff but most only come in and review the patient charts, but do not see the patients themselves. When the head nurse was asked to come see my parent, she did not, but rather spoke to me and told me that she must be depressed. I had to ask that and ambulance be called for my parent when she was not responsive, and to that the nursing assistant said that the doctor had to approve it. You have to be extremely nice to everyone while they are rude and all knowing, just to ensure your loved one is taken care of properly. I received more help from the students that go there to learn than the actual employees themselves. You, as a person that is looking to Glenwood for help, entrust them with your most valuable possession and the service that is provided is less than average. I am very sad to say that I would not recommend this place to anyone who has a loved one. I wish I would have taken my parent home and cared for them myself; they still might be here today.
