Like many others, I have a litany of horror stories concerning my dealings with tradesmen, contractors, builders, and painters. Accordingly, I approach the prospect of another house or business project with understandable trepidation. I have, however, discovered the three cardinal characteristics of the perfect contractor. First, he has a team of workers that are talented in their fields, taking a pride in careful and thorough work perfected through their own motivation to get it right. Second, the contractor is cost competitive. Not the cheapest, but at the low or middle end of the price spectrum and competitive with the market value of the services. Last, and most importantly, INTEGRITY and HONESTY.
Recently Paul Tapp of Gemini Services Inc. was recommended by friends who do home improvement projects as a business. I retained Gemini after they bid on my large house painting project. Gemini demonstrated without doubt that it had the three critical characteristics of the perfect contractor. The work was above expectation, and Paul's perfectionistic approach put me in a position where I didn't have to monitor the work. The workers were respectful of my private environment, always on time, and self starters. As it turned out, Paul also offered some very good advice on the aesthetic choices, and saved me money by being creative. The project finished on time, at exactly the contract price without manipulative attempts to increase the cost, and the work was simply spectacular. I recommend Gemini without hesitation and I will use Gemini for my forthcoming projects.
