Went in to their pet store to look only. Kids begged for a puppy.I knew it was the wrong thing to do. Almost passed out at the store and was shaking so bad I could barely sign papers. Owners just wanted to make a buck, I mean $821 of them. Told them about my stressed out cat that has already cost us $3000. Got home our cat got worse, spraying everywhere. 4 hours after leaving pet store I called them and told them I would have to return him. Brought him back by 11am the next day and they only returned $190 to me. I honestly thought that we would get 75% back, not that they would keep that amount. They said I signed the papers stating that this is how it works, but if they had a heart at all and they knew the situation we were in, I really thought that since we had the dog 16 hours that maybe they would give us a little more. I wrote a letter begging them for some more money back, even offered to volunteer to help them out. No reply. I called a couple more times and they finally called me back and treated me like I was the most horrible person in the world and how could I do such a thing. I know they recieved the letter as I sent it delivery confirmation priority mail (not sure why they are lying) They made twice as much on that dog so I really thought they would be understanding to our situation and that this was not something I did to be mean I just could not handle seeing our kitty freak out. this was not an easy choice for me financially or emotionally. I could not sleep for days after this had happened along with knowing that I broke my kids hearts. It just shocks me that someone that claims to be a family owned pet store would be able to live with themselves knowing that I truely made a mistake and they could not help us out. I would never refer anyone to their store
