I have dropped my Shar-pei off at this place two times. The first time was for four days. I paid for him to have two walks per day at $5 a piece. My dog WILL NOT use the bathroom indoors or on the cement. He will only use the bathroom on a walk! The flooring in this place is entirely cement. When I picked him up I noticed that he was miserable. Happy to see me but very dosile and seemed confused. He smelled like urine and had constant discharge coming from both of his eyes (which he didn't have prior to entering the facility). When his stay was overwith as soon as I walked him out of the facility he had to use the bathroom so bad as if he hadn't gone in days. My reaction this time was that he maybe was just so unhappy there that he wasn't using the bathroom. WRONG!!! Against my better judgement I brought my dog back one month later. This time it was just an overnight. Again I paid $5 for walks ($15 for 3 walks). I wanted one the first evening and two the following day. I paid for the walks upfront and expected them to be given. The problem is there is no way for me to know if they are actually walking my dog. I have to take there word for it. So when I picked him up (around 5 pm) he again had to use the bathroom so bad, as if he hadn't gone the entire time. I know my dog and I know that if he is given a walk he will use the bathroom, no matter who it is that's walking him. This time I was very upset. I called the manager, Dawn is her name, and let her know of my concern. She showed no sympathy or empathy for me and told me that my dog was walked. I told her a good business owner would offer someone their money back (at least the $ for the walks that weren't given). I know for a fact that he was not walked. This place is unsanitary, it smells like urine throughout the facility, and is poorly managed. If you care about your pet then my advice is to not leave them at "Wags To Whiskers" (Culver City, CA).
