Last year I lost my job and had no choice but to fall behind on my mortgage to survive, I eventually found another job for less money but my lender refused to accept anything less then the whole past due amount owed. A friend told me to contact First Source Law, they had helped her get a modification for a reasonable price and she really liked working with them. I called after I received a notice on my door stating that there was a sale date on my property. I worked with a legal assistant named Aubrey collecting the documentation and an extremely knowledgeable negotiator named Liesl. They always answered when I called and walked me through the whole process. They submitted me for modification and got the sale date postponed while I was being reviewed by Bank of America. Within 2 weeks I received an offer for a trial modification with a payment that I could actually afford based on my new lowered income. I thought it was too late once I had a sale date, but they proved that it is never too late to save your home. I am so grateful for all the hard work they put into helping me and have referred them to several friends who are interested in loan modification but are afraid to trust most of the companys out there because of all the bad press. The coolest thing about working with them was that they were extremely flexible with a payment plan, once I received an offer from my lender I had to make my first trial period payment immediately and did not have the money right away to pay for their services. They worked with me on a payment plan, they really had my best interests in mind.
