Most businesses don't lie or cheat clients, especially ones they may have wronged, but with this particular Fantastic Sam's however it is apparently just business as usual. One sunny late spring afternoon, my fiance sat down at the chair of Theresa Susan So and requested a simple highlighting procedure, not knowing it would all fall apart(literally). When I arrived after a tear filled phone call from my fiance, I found her sitting, traumatized with white streaked black hair (a far cry from blond) and an unapologetic Theresa So looking bored. Assuring her it was temporary, she then jostled my poor girl about like she was scrubbing clothes on the farm, defiantly claiming no fault of her own. When she was finished, we had the girl working there dial the manager who assured us that it would be taken care of, that she would refund the money, fix it and even throw in some free coupons to make it up to her. Empty promises, we soon discovered, as the coupons supposedly worth "$100" totaled $8 in discounts...in addition, no refund was given and she wouldn't take calls from my fiance anymore.
Later, it was so damaged that it was coming off in pieces and had to be cut to just over an inch to get the damaged hair out. Months later, we are still fighting to get the manager to keep her word and refund the money that was charged. Is this acceptable business practice to ruin someone's hair then lie and avoid them just to make a small profit?
