After reading a few of your reviews, I was shocked by the mostly negative aspects. I have been using CyberDefender for almost 2 years and have had very good results. Of course, I started out with the free diagnostics and was later turned over to a sales rep. The price was a little startling, especially when you have 3 computers to maintain, but my husband and I decided to cough up the $199/per computer. They let me pay it out over 3 installments so that was helpful. Whenever I run into a problem/question, I dial the Live Help Desk; give them the situation and then they ask me to log them in. Usually, within one to three hours, a technician is working on the problem while I go about my other activities. They usually call me before they sign off, but if I'm not available, they leave me an email with an incident number in case I have to call back.
I am very pleased with my CyberDefender contract and will likely renew when it expires next year. I'm just a little shocked to see others have had a problem. By the way, even is something is NOT wrong with my computer, I call at least every 2 months and they give all 3 computers a "tune up". So far, they are all purring right along.
