HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE BUSINESS! Don't trust your sound investment with these people! You will be sexually harassed by the tech and management has NO clue as to what is going on when they are gone. O' did I mention they have absolutely NO CLLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING????
Well I have never written a review about a business before but I feel it imperative to inform the public about the risks they are taking when they leave their computers in the care of Computerworks of California.
It was a very bad FIRST and LAST experience! I am a big supporter of small business however I found the technician to be dishonest and inexperienced. Upon entering and questioning if he was capable of doing the repair the tech seemed more interested in what was in my jeans rather than what was going on with the computer! My Macbook had a simple error message that needed to be cleared and he assured me this could be done before closing that day and would cost me at most $100.00 Well that would be the first day of a six month headache and the last time I would see my laptop functioning! It turns out the tech had NO IDEA how to repair a Mac. After several days of calling and getting NOWHERE fast I stopped in to check on the status and was informed me that he got the computer working however in his attempt to 'clean the dirt' off the computer it abruptly stopped working. He Asked me to give him another day or so to find out what was wrong and he would get it back to me. Well this was the beginning of the end. He stated he didn't know what was wrong and he had to order some 'parts'. This continued for SIX MONTHS. After complain to management they stated they had to send out the computer to see what was wrong (mind you they had NO idea the laptop was even there). Well to make a long story short they tried to claim the computer had water damage (I would imagine this would be from the cleaning solvent)that HAD to have been done before I myself even purchased the computer (he says this is typical when purchasing a used computer)....only one problem with that...this computer was purchased brand new from Best Buy! Here they were trying to escape fault for their mistake. To top it off the hard drive(which had irreplaceable photos and videos of my mother who recently past away) was also erased!
So here I am. No computer...no satisfaction...no replacement! So what I guess I'm saying is DO BUSINESS HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THEM!
I would give ZERO stars but its not an option!
