Review 9/13/2010
|
I attended Karen Hanover's Commercial Real Estate Bootcamp in Chicago in April 2010. After the event, I paid $20,000 for her "Fast Track" coaching and mentoring program. At the Chicago event, Hanover "guaranteed" her "Fast Track" students that she would have them in a commercial real estate deal within one year and also promised many resources, including regular coaching phone calls, e-mail and phone access to her and her coaches, on-line analysis tools, monthly learning modules delivered in DVDs, sample contracts, etc.
I have received nothing from Hanover or her company. Other than a credit card transaction receipt for my deposit and the canceled check for the balance, I have no other documentation from her or her company, and no contract, despite my many requests for something in writing to memorialize our transaction. My many e-mails to her and her company have gone unanswered. The phone number that is printed on my receipt has an outgoing message saying the office is moving and not to leave a message. This has been the case for four months. The address for the company turns out to be a UPS Store mailbox only, there is no physical office at that address.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and am writing this review to advise others who are contemplating doing business with Hanover or her company to rethink that decision. For more information, you might want to check the website/blog for Duncan Wierman, who is maintaining a running record of the experiences of Karen Hanover’s many dissatisfied "students". http://www.duncanwierman.com/blog/in-the-news/karen-hanover-suckered-1000s-commercial-short-sale-launch/
NOTE: Hanover has a new company: Kharmic Life Strategies, Inc., a Florida corporation. A search of the BBB site does not turn up any reports on them yet...
