Review 7/25/2011

I was looking for BBB info about another company and decided to check out my ex-school, CTI also. I just read the review of a student complaining/whining about her CTI experience--HILARIOUS! Before posting this review, I read the general guidelines which clearly state, "Please do not post a false review...". With that in mind, I want to say that CTI is awesome enough to actually offer a prep class that helps students prepare for the National Exam! If we felt nervous about passing it--or just wanted to be extra sure we were ready to take it, we could sign up for a prep class for only $50. The test is given by a test proctor and NO ONE MAKES YOU SIGN UP for the prep class! As far as that $50 fee to retake the final—in the class I was in, one of my friends (who had some related work experience), had to retake the final :-(. The $50 is the fee the proctor charged to administer the retake—which was already explained to all of us during our orientation! And other thing—those externship sites are set up by CTI to let you get your required draws in. Everything I learned at CTI prepared me to have the skills I needed to actually perform blood collection from real patients, BUT it was important to be open to new/different ways of doing things—things are a little different with ACTUAL patients and different clinics. Finally, I just want to make sure everyone knows that my experience with CTI was nothing like what the complaining/whining student described. In fact, I was referred to CTI by a couple of really satisfied ex-students! If you’re on this page—please ignore--or have a good laugh about the whining student’s story. That student should definitely write fiction novels--after she learns how to spell!
