The training at CTI does not prepare you for their final test. I passed due to my previous work experience; put over half the class did not pass. After already paying $2000.00 for the training they will make you pay another $50.00 to retest. They will also make you pay another $50.00 to prepare you to for the National Test. After you pass their final they will send you to a Lab for your externship. My externship was so bad. They would yell at you, make you clean fecal matter out the toilets! The very first day at my externship the supervisor told me after I asked a phlebotomy question to "Shut up, just listen, and don't ask questions, don't get on my nerves because I will send you home"! She told me, "Don’t study the information I learned in the training class because it will only mess me up here"! I spoke with another student who went through one of their labs and she said she was too scared to say anything because she would lose her externship and she is right. You will have to take the abuse because they don't care. CTI will tell you to find your own externship site if you don't like the one they gave you regardless of the situation. As long as the lab is certified on paper they don't care, they feel they have done their part. For those of you who have had a similar experience, take them to small claims court and get your back!
