On 5/12/11, the Chem-Dry rep who attempted to clean my carpet told me that the dirt spots that remained after he was done were broken down carpet fibers and that he couldn't do any more for it. I found this somewhat hard to believe because the carpet is only two years old. After thinking about it for a couple of days I decided to have another company clean it. They came out 5 days after chem dry and extracted an inordinate amount of dirt from my carpet as was evidenced by the amount of dirt that was in the water after the cleaning was finished. I have dated photo evidence to prove it. When I called the owner of chem dry to request a refund, he became very defensive and hung up on me.
