Great school if you want to become a makeup artist
|
I decided to enroll in makeup courses and get certified last summer. I searched on the internet for local makeup schools and came across Cammua. I attended the Upland location.
First and foremost, I must say that Gia is a great teacher and Joe is very helpful in answering any questions you have prior to enrollment.
As with any school, it can be very expensive, especially if your wallet is not deep. But Cammua does work with you and I was able to put half down and pay the rest monthly.
Classes are small that you can really get one on one time and hands on as the students work on each other. Class time seems to go by so quickly and is so much fun. By the time you realize it, your course is already over and you are certified!
But it doesn't stop there, if you are on Facebook, there is a Cammua graduates group page in which Gia and Joe keep in touch with past graduates. Jobs are posted (paid and trade) for all to have an opportunity to grab. Graduates also share their work with each other. It's a great tool and a great way to continue supporting the students after they have graduated. And a great way for graduates to support each other.
Would I recommend them to my friends? Of course, I would!
Being a makeup artist takes a lot of work. Gia and Joe help prepare you and point you in the right direction, but ultimately, it's all up to you. The harder you work, the more success will come your way.
