BANANNA HOBBY'S P-38 Lightning
|
I BOUGHT MY P-38 LAST YEAR AND WORKED ON IT OFF AND ON FOR TWO MONTHS.
IT IS A GREAT KIT AND IT LOOKS KILLER.
THE THING I HAD AN ISSUE WITH IS THE LABELING OF THE CONNECTORS (WHICH WERE ONLY ON THE RECEIVER END). I SPENT A LOT OF TIME FIGURING OUT WHICH WIRE WENT TO WHICH SERVO.
I FINALLY GOT IT TOGETHER AND WORKING PROPERLY AND TOOK IT OUT FOR ITS MADEN FLIGHT.
IT HAD LOTS OF POWER AND PULLED IT ALONG FINE UNTIL I WENT IN THE DRIVEWAY WHICH IS GRAVEL.
THE TIP OF THE PROPELLERS WERE DAMAGED AND I COULD NOT GET ANY NEW ONES BECAUSE THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK.
I GUESS A LOT OF GUYS THAT BOUGHT THIS PLANE FOUND OUT WHAT I DID.
THE FRONT WHEEL IS TOO CLOSE TO THE GROUND LEAVING LITTLE CLEARENCE.
I SOLVED THE PROBLEM BY CUTTING ALL THE BLADES A 3/8" SHORTER AND EVERYTHING WORKS WELL.
I NEEDED A NEW SERVO FOR ONE OF THE AIRLERONS AND COULD NOT FIND A REPLACEMENT ON THE BANANNA HOBBYS SITE.
THEY MAKE A GREAT PRODUCT BUT NOT ALL OF US HAVE A PAVED RUNWAY.
SO THAT IS MY REVIEW.
