I called Dr. Margaret Schenck in March of 2008, and got a price for a first visit over the phone. When I arrived there, I was told I HAD to purchase two visits (the original and a follow up), and the price was about 50.00 or so more. I did so at the time, expecting I would be able to attend the second visit. I then was unable (due to some drastic circumstances in my life) to attend, and Dr. Schenck refused to refund 50.00 for the second visit, which was never delivered. I was given all sorts of bureaucratic reasons why this was OK, but the bottom line is the original visit ended up not being worth the price. The very poor communication with her on this matter (giving rote answers, refusing to answer phone calls or emails) made me not want to deal with her ever again. It's unfortunate that a person who considers herself a holistic, naturopathic doctor is inept in handling a reasonable request from a first time patient. To me, that does not show that she will be in good communication on other matters, and I want others to know of this occurrence.
