I purchased a DTV converter box in july 2009 and the box stopped working just befor the 1 year anniversary and "luckly" i was able to send it out and have cover the repairs under warranty plus a 10 dollar fee. Well, It's september now and i still have no converter box nor a legitmate answer from them. The repair was supposed to take 3 weeks. Everytime i call Apex, i get a different excuse on why thay haven't sent out the box. Their last BS excuse is that their warehouse is relocating and my box will be sent out by the end of september or maybe October. Apex is taking advantage of their consumers and give no solution to defective products. STAY AWAY FROM APEX. Poor code of ethics from their outsourced costumer service department. I'm starting to think they're a scam..I'm in the process of contacting my local news channel and do an investigation on the DTV converter boxes that seem to be made of crappy products that won't last.
