Horrendous experience. Shady business practices. As far as we could see there is only one person in this whole "company" a guy named Alan Scott. He's listed as the director on the BBB site, answers all the phone calls, answers all the emails, and was also listed as our Account Executive. Seems like a one man show. Some of the business practices seemed questionable and when we asked him about it, he gets snippy and hung up the phone. Issues we had: 1) He claims to be a member of the BBB, but they say he is not. 2)None of the people who wrote the "glowing" testimonials on the website appear to exist. an online search shows their are no such people licensed with their respective states' Insurance Department. 3)He refused to accept a credit card. You must send a check or cash. 4)He will write you a contract, but not sign it before sending it to you. He wants you to sign it and send it in with a check then promises to send you a copy in the mail. A complete violation of safe business practices. 5) He claims his boss wont allow him to do things any other way, yet he is listed as the Director...what director has a boss? 6) He claims to have over 250 agents signed up, yet his business is listed as being only a month old. 7) We called and asked questions; again, when we asked the tough questions, he got mad and hung up. A week later we got an email that by some coincidence he had just finished a mailing campaign in our zip code and had 197 people interested in appointments. 8) There were classic time sensitive closing techniques used "send your check today and you'll get 5 bonus appointments" "I wont send an agreement out for you to review unless you're ready to sign it this week" etc.
** In summary: I'm not saying this 'company' is a scam, but it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, quacks like a duck. We chose not to send the check.
