Hi everyone. Few days ago I passed my NCLEX-RN exam! I still can't believe it until now. I graduated back in 2010, But because of CA BRN's requirements that foreign nurses need to take up their deficiencies here in CA (if you want to work here), I wasn't able to take the board exam (NCLEX) right away.
So I applied for the NCLEX for the state of Nevada and got my ATT summer (2015). I started looking for a good comprehensive review center that would help me prepare for NCLEX. I found a lot of places with high passing rate in their ads, but i was going for good reviews so i found America Healthways Education (AHEC) through YELP. I enrolled at AHEC July 2015 at the same time waiting for a school that would accept me for the deficiencies that I needed to take for CA BRN. I got a letter from a community college around end of July stating that I got accepted for FALL semester 2015, which was going to start Sept.
For the state of Nevada you only have 3 months to take your exam, which made everything worse. (AHHHH! I only have till Oct of this year to take it!) I was nervous because I had to review for NCLEX, take my classes for my deficiencies and attend my clinicals at the same time. With the help of my AHEC family I was able to stay focused.
AHEC's Manual and bullets really helped me big time. It was direct to the point, which made it so much easier to understand. I didn't have to use any book, just this MANUAL and the BULLETS. I also made sure I answered a minimum of 50 questions per day to apply what I learned from Sir Don's class and the manual.
This was once a dream.. and it finally came true! I thank GOD for being with me all the way. Also, thanks to my AHEC family especially to Sir Don and Ms. Mary. Never could've done it without your help.
Always remember:
"IT MAY BE HARD BUT IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE!" -E.A.
"Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, PRAY. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into PRAYERS, letting GOD know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of GOD's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when CHRIST displaces worry at the center of your life."
Good luck and God bless future RNs!
