My issue with ACT is that I have tried to contact them since August of last year (2010) trying to find out information about my account that I have with them. They fail to send me a statement, letter or any sort of documentation regarding my account. I have no knowledge of my account number, the balance that I owe, or anything else about the account. The last time I called the whole entire department was closed during their normal operating hours, the previous time I called they were all at lunch also during the normal operating hours. I tried to get the operator who answered the call both times to let me speak with someone about my account, she refused to let me speak to anybody and insisted that I leave a voicemail. I find it very hard to believe that she was the only person that was available to talk at the company. I tried leaving voice-mails, and I have sent faxes and emails all of which have gone unresponded. I also verified with my state government that ACT was handling my account. They choose not to respond to my inquires because they are currently garnishing my wages and its in their company's best interest to collect as much as they possibly can since they can charge up to 25% in fees.
