We do understand and feel for you in your situation but we also have to respect the rights of the owner of the property as well. Per SCRA Section 535(b) (1) Upon receiving notice of the activation or transfer orders, the landlord must consider the lease to be terminated 30 days after the NEXT rent is due. For example, if your rent is due on the first of the month and you give your landlord notice of your activation or transfer on May 10th, the lease is over on July 1, which is 30 days after the next month rent is due (June 1). The owner does have a mortgage to pay as well. If there was another way to handle this type of situation we would have done so in a heartbeat to make things easier for you and your family.
