Should I consult with a patent attorney before I consult with an invention marketing company?

Has anyone had an experience with an invention product company? Is it better to speak with a patent attorney first before you try to market your product and any recommendations for a patent attorney in Missouri?

I agree with Bill. I contacted a patent Attorney and they advised me to first do a patent search to make sure that the product that I was trying to patent was not in existence already. Also, the Invention marketing companies will promise you the moon but in reality, you show them your moon by bending over if I could be so bold to say=0)
Good luck Phyllis

Marvin,
I have linked their BBB report and reviewed it. Like I said previously, a B rating is a good rating. They do have a couple complaints but it looks like they resolved them.
Whether you elect to go with this company or any other I would suggest you speak with a patent attorney first. Many "patent" companies disguise their agenda and are actually marketing companies that make big promises and fall short of delivering services.
